No. Images are processed with the HTML canvas API inside your browser. They never leave your device, which makes PixSquish safe for personal photos and confidential screenshots.

Which formats are supported?

Anything your browser can open: JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, SVG and, in most modern browsers, AVIF. Output can be JPG, PNG or WebP.

Does resizing reduce quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Enlarging beyond the original size cannot add detail, so the result will look softer.
