About this tool
JPG is universally supported and small for photos — ideal for sharing, email and older apps. HEIC (iPhone photos) can be opened by Safari and some newer browsers; if yours cannot read the file, it will tell you. The conversion is done locally with the canvas API. When converting an image with transparency to JPG, transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default).
